TWO SUPER-DVORA GUN BOATS SUNK

Two Israeli made super-dvora fast attack gun boats were sunk and another two dvora boats were seriously damaged in a ferocious sea battle between the Sea Tiger commandos and the Sri Lankan navy off the coast of Vadamarachchi East in the Jaffna peninsula this morning.
A flotilla of Tamil Tigers gunboats intercepted a convoy of dvora fast attack crafts in the Mullaitivu seas. A fierce sea battle ensued. Sri Lankan airforce war planes and M1 24 helicopter gunships were also involved in the fighting. In the fighting that lasted for several hours two super-dvora gunboats were sunk and another two dvora boats were badly damaged. 15 naval personnel were killed in the sea battle. 12 Sea Tigers were also killed.
