2005 Principal against LTTE Child Conscription Gunned down A Principal who rose against continuing child conscription of Tamil Tigers (LTTE) was shot and killed by two suspected Tamil Tiger pistol men on Tuesday (11) night around 8.30 p.m. when he was at his residence in the general area of Kopai, about 5 km northeast of Jaffna. The victimized principal at Kopai Christian College, Mr. N. Sivakadasan (59) of Manippai Road, Kopay North, Kopay was at home with his eight-year old child and the wife when two Tamil Tiger pistol men stormed his house and shot him at close range. Preliminary investigations confirmed that the victim has consistently risen against LTTE practice of child conscription. The principal fell dead on the spot inside his home after pistol men struck him in front of his child. The Jaffna Magistrate visited the victim�s house and conducted the Magisterial inquiry into the assassination, the same night. The post-mortem was to be conducted at Jaffna hospital shortly. The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission was to be informed. The Kopay Police are conducting investigations. Slain principal's students walk out in protest Hundreds of school children, attached to Christian College in Kopay walked out of their school on Wednesday (12) afternoon and protested against the murder of their principal by suspected Tamil Tigers while he was at home in the general area of Kopay, the previous night (11). their principal after trying to disrupt traffic on Point
Pedro road but the Police diverted traffic and minimized
inconvenience to the public. Tamil activist shot dead in Jaffna The principal of Kopay Christian College, Mr. Nadararajah Sivakadadcham, was shot and killed Tuesday night by unidentified gunmen at his residence, civilian sources said. The fifty-nine-years old school principal was a known social activist and the Kopay Division organisor of Tamil Resurgence Task Force. Mr. Sivakadadcham organised the Tamil Women Resurgence Day events that were held in Kopay, Monday. Two gunmen who approached Mr. Sivakadadcham's residence in Kopay North shot at him and fled from the scene in a motorbike, sources said. Students protest
