Tamils - a Trans State Nation..

"To us all towns are one, all men our kin.
Life's good comes not from others' gift, nor ill
Man's pains and pains' relief are from within.
Thus have we seen in visions of the wise !."
-
Tamil Poem in Purananuru, circa 500 B.C

INDICTMENT AGAINST SRI LANKA
Black July 1983: the Charge is Genocide

On 8th Anniversary of Genocide'83 - London

Genocide 83

20 July 1991

On the 20th of July 1991, thousands of Tamils joined a demonstration march on the streets of London. It was the 8th anniversary of the July 83 massacre. The march was organised by the International Federation of Tamils. It commenced at Aldwych near the Indian High Commission, continued down the Strand, past Westminister and ended in Hyde Park. The marchers protested against Sri Lanka's sustained genocidal attack on the Tamil people and demanded: 'Lift Blockade of Essential Supplies to Tamil Eelam" "Stop aerial bombardment of hospitals, temples, churches and Tamil civilians' and 'End colonisation of Tamil homelands by armed Sinhala settlers'.
