The Commission, taking note of the information voluntarily submitted by the Government of Sri Lanka * and appealing to the parties to continue to take all necessary measures to strengthen and maintain peace and restore harmony among the people of Sri Lanka, welcomed all measures for rehabilitation and reconciliation, including the All Party Conference, expressed the hope that they would succeed in achieving a lasting solution, and decided that further consideration of this matter was not necessary.
