Unity in a Difficult Time
20 August 2007
The success of the Jews has been founded
on their ability to recognize the need to organize themselves individually as
well as collectively. That organization involves the recognition that charity
begins with the acquisition of wealth, not its soft hearted distribution prior
to its acquisition. In this endeavor, they also calculate who their best allies
should be to protect and enhance their wealth and their security. Golde Meir's
tour of the U.S to amass a fortune from American Jews to secure Israel against
Arab opposition is a perfect example of their practicality in order to fulfill
their goals In this way they ensured American support of their cause, which
support was not initially forthcoming from President Truman who feared a middle
eastern storm by recognizing Israel. Russia recognized Israel before Truman
reluctantly did so. The end result is that the Arabs, who have now succeed in
antagonizing the US and its allies, have cautioned the Soviets against their
spreading influence, and have yet to match the Jews both on the military and
financial fronts. The Arabs who control the largest sources of the world's oil
yet need western markets to maintain their wealth
How similar are the attitudes of the Tamils in attaining their freedom from
perpetual Sinhalese discrimination? The need for unity since the passing away of
Mr. Chelvanayagam was again realized with the major Tamil parties in Parliament
[the Tamil National Alliance] supporting the LTTE.
The recognition of the need for acquisition of wealth to support their cause is
unquestioned. The distribution of non-existent sources of wealth are used to
keep a deprived population from devastation at the hands of ruthless Sinhalese
rulers. We have struggled to gain world support, denied to us until very
recently, due to the condemnation of the LTTE as terrorists, though the initial
Israeli freedom fighters were so regarded with the same disdain at the outset.
The inhumanity of the present government, which is exceeding even that of J. R
Jayawardena, has reversed the attitude of the world towards Sinhalese
governments, which have previously succeeded in convincing the world of their
commitment to democracy and equal treatment of all their subjects. When any
government and its stooge press has to resort to calling genuine peace advocates
"terrorists", the credibility of the present government diminishes by the hour.
Supporters of the present government have descended to the level where they
defer to the judgments and uncritical accolades of their accommodating aides
rather than realize the gravity of their situation. They adopt the attitude that
all is fine and remain sadly uncritical of themselves and ignore the
possibilities of the storm that is ready to engulf them.
They ignore the harsh reality that famine is a horror that no one knows of till
it bites them. They suffer from the monstrous delusion that they are about to
unite a disunited nation when in fact they are presiding over its agonizing
dissolution instead. They will never be persuaded to restore to the Tamils the
rights they deserve despite empty assertions to the contrary. Every action of
theirs defies their claims of being seeped with noble intentions.
The difference between the position of the Jews and our people are that powerful
international sources support them with military and moral help, while in our
case they give us moral support but give the enemy military aid.
Instead of world leaders and NGO's branding Piribakaran as a"Terrorist" without
soul, they should like Angels flutter their wings of applause for a man who has
inspired his people to defy discrimination and to seek either equality or
freedom from interference by those who seek to keep them suppressed forever. He
is their hero, who, like all freedom fighters who have always been initially so
condemned, but wound up as international god-like heroes. The first black
Presidents of Kenya and South Africa are prime examples of this phenomenon.
