Tamils - a Trans State Nation..

"To us all towns are one, all men our kin.
Life's good comes not from others' gift, nor ill
Man's pains and pains' relief are from within.
Thus have we seen in visions of the wise !."

Rajanikanth  Speech

"Almost the entire Tamil cinema actors turned up on Saturday 1 November for the day-long fast in Chennai and expressed their solidarity with Eelam Tamils in the ongoing offensive in Sri Lanka. The Nadigar Sangam (ArtistesAssociation) building swarmed with hundreds of film stars.

Led by South Indian ArtistesAssociation president R Sarathkumar, the fast saw good attendance of top stars, including Rajnikant, Vijayakant, Kamalhassan, Manorama, Radhika, Nepolean, Satyaraj, Vijay, Arjun, Pasupathi, Vikram, Surya, Silambarasan, Radharavi, Nayantara and many others.

Although there was an advisory by Sarath Kumar asking the actors to avoid any controversy, the film personalities could not control their emotions.

Superstar Rajnikant in his speech charged the Sri Lankan Government for the decades long sufferings of Tamil people including children and women. As long as these people suffer the country will be cursed, he said. In the 35 years of struggle Sri Lankan government could not defeat Eelam Tamils. How are you going to defeat now? he questioned. Are there fighters in Sri lankan government forces? he asked. He offered one million rupees for the Tamil Nadu fund to help Eelam Tamil people." - Tamil Insight
