The conference shall take place at the occasion of the
5th Session of the Human Rights Council at the UNO. The
purpose is to draw the attention of the representatives
participating at the Session and of the public to the
scandalous acts and to the deteriorating situation in the
North-East of Sri Lanka. Hidden behind a curtain of silence,
each day sees a great number of human rights violations
committed against the Tamil population of the island.
